    Not Recommended For:

    • Growing puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs

    • Patients with sodium depletion states (e.g. vomiting, diarrhea), hyperlipidemia, pancreatitis, history of pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis

    Electrolyte levels are compatible with both diuretic and ACE inhibitor therapy.


    Prescription Diet h/d Dry Dog Food contains moderate levels of potassium. Although dogs on diuretics may lose potassium through the urine, those receiving angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors may excrete less potassium.


    Increased energy density improves nutrient intake with smaller portions of food.
